Yesterday I came across a video that made me smile, and at times actually laugh out loud. It made me feel compelled to write this blog and share the video with you all.
I cannot believe I haven’t seen this before! Most importantly, how cool is it that someone out there took the time to make a video about, well, our video? Really cool.
We try not to take ourselves too seriously, and we always love a good laugh (even at our own expense), and although we all found the video to be quite amusing, I do feel like there are a few things that I need to address and clarify on behalf of the band.
We love EVERYONE. Come as you are, we do not judge, we are lovers, (as you can probably deduct from our music video. Meow.) not haters.
This video was created by friends and the cast is comprised of actors as well as friends and family, and we all had a blast making it.
Our music video was created in the spirit of lighthearted fun, with the intention of evoking some sort of shock and/or surprise and it is not intended to be taken literally. To elaborate on this, we aren’t trying to convey that ALL FURRIES BEHAVE THIS WAY. The video is based on a hypothetical situation, and in my opinion, a hilarious one. Ha! ‘Cute little mascots doing whaaaat?!` I let little Timmy hug that elephant at the parade last week!’ ‘Is this what happens after the fair?’
We are truly sorry for any hurt feeling or offense caused to the furry community due to our video. That being said, lighten the f*!k up! You’re grown ass adults wearing animal costumes for crying out loud! I believe that it is so important to be able to laugh at ourselves, which is why I want to share this video.
Really, What’s the point of getting out of bed at all if we can’t laugh?
Here’s a quick fact for those of you who were wondering. The original video was removed from YouTube shortly after it was posted due to a contractual issue with one of the actors and the edited version was uploaded as soon as we could have it finalized. We were devastated not only to have to take it down, but also because our favorite scene had to be removed.
We sincerely hope you can see the good humour in our video and that you love watching it as much as we enjoyed making it. I also hope you love the one I am sharing with you today.
Thanks to the furries for making the video, we love it!
